So here it is, I am doing my top ten doctors of all time!
10. Colin Baker (6th Doctor)
Loud and incredibly rude, its hard to like this doctor. As far as episodes go it is fair to say, the worst season of who. For me it was his audio adventures that saved him from being a doctor I despised!
9. Christopher Eccelston (9th Doctor)
Modern and funny, this doctor deserved more than just one season. Some great memorable phrases but not enough good episodes to really appreciate his character
8. John Hurt (War Doctor)
Unfortunately, this incarnation only had one episode to show his glory. This character was meant to be a warrior but instead I felt sympathy for him. If he had more episodes I may have liked him better.
7. Sylvester McCoy (7th Doctor)
Exciting and eccentric. This doctor was jumpy and smart at the same time, the sort of person who left no stone unturned. A good doctor or should I say brrrrrrrrrrrrriliant!
6. David Tennant (10th Doctor)
This is the point where people begin to shout and cry. Tennat would have been number 2 if it wasn't for classic who. For many people 'the' doctor, but I couldn't relate to him much. He was the dashing hero, smart and funny. But I couldn't feel his pain and not to forget that horrible exit!!!
5. 4th Doctor (4th Doctor)
A fan favourite, this doctor was smart, funny and incredibly alien. His Scarf has become a symbol of whovianism. He made fans never eat a jelly baby the same way again. A great doctor, lots of laughs and great episodes.
4. Jon Pertwee (3rd Doctor)
This doctor was undeniably, kick ass! He was tall and had a striking sense of clothing. The actor had such attack in his lines and the doctor himself was smart and the sort of person you would feel safe with. Clever, Dashing and Karate Kicking this doctor made for an exciting new era!
3. Paul Mcgann (8th Doctor)
Not so much of a fan favourite, but definitely one of mine. The first ever actor I ever met who played a character in the show he was caring and smart. He was young and brought a new era of doctor who. His stunning performance in the night of the doctor will be remembered for years to come but it is his audios that really save the day!
2. Patrick Troughten (2nd Doctor)
My favourite classic doctor, he delivered a more comedic performance. His relationship with companions was something very special. Reassuring and kind but a doctor who would do the right thing. Often getting into sticky situations this doctor was funny, comedic, smart, clever and definitely a hero!
1. Matt Smith (11th Doctor)
This doctor started in 2009, crash-landing into our lives, literally. A doctor who was likable and smart. But with a dangerous history he tried ever so hard to fix. We cried, we laughed and we definitely had the ride of a lifetime. His stories were complicated but this doctor was simple. His wardrobe was fresh and old at the same time. His farewell was tear-jerking and emotional but what really made this doctor a doctor was his speeches. Most notably, the rings of akhatten speech. A doctor who will be missed and treasured!
